***Now Accepting New Clients***
Hi, I'm Shaina.
As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), I create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, empowered, and encouraged to grow. I specialize in working with older teens and adults navigating mood disorders, emotional dysregulation, and life transitions. My approach is rooted in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and I focus on helping clients develop the skills they need to manage life’s challenges with confidence and resilience.
My style would be best described as behaviorally focused, goal-directed, and empathetic. I believe in meeting people where they are while gently encouraging growth through skill-building, emotional awareness, and practical tools. Whether you’re working through depression, anxiety, mood swings, or high-stress transitions, our work together will focus on identifying your goals, learning effective coping strategies, and making meaningful progress at your pace.
I earned my Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Holy Family University and am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Pennsylvania. My background includes work in case management, community mental health, and residential treatment settings. I also co-founded and facilitated a long-standing DBT group for adolescents, and I bring deep experience in trauma-informed care, TF-CBT, CBT, DBT, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy.
I am an LGBTQIAA+ ally and strive to ensure that every client feels safe, respected, and valued. Whether you’re starting therapy for the first time or returning to continue your journey, I’m here to support you with compassion and purpose.
