Hi, I'm Amy.
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania and Connecticut with a Master’sDegree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Fairfield University. My experience includes individual, couples, family, and group counseling with a wide range of concerns in both general outpatient and substance use treatment settings. I’m particularly interested in working with repetitive patterns of thoughts and behaviors that provide short-term relief but contribute to longer-term distress.
Within that broader focus, I have a special interest in obsessive romantic jealousy and the impact it can have on individuals and relationships. If obsessive romantic jealousy is taking over your relationship—and your ability to feel OK depends on your partner’s words and actions—you’re not alone. You may be overthinking, questioning your partner, and searching for evidence of betrayal. Or maybe the issue is your partner’s insecurities... You’re constantly accused, pressured to explain yourself, walking on eggshells, and avoiding others. Whether you’re feeling controlled by obsessive jealousy yourself, or trapped by a partner’s insecurity, the result is the same: anxiety, conflict, and a growing sense that your relationship is controlling your life rather than enriching it.
My goal is for you to feel comfortable talking openly about what’s really going on, including the thoughts and feelings that can be hard to say out loud. You will be heard, understood, and helped. I use a combination of insight and practical tools to help you understand your patterns, manage your emotional reactions, and respond differently in moments that usually feel overwhelming. You’ll learn skills that can help you quiet overthinking, reduce reassurance-seeking, set and hold boundaries, and give you a greater sense of freedom in your daily life and relationships.
